We want all of our patients to know how important your oral health is to your overall health. Dry mouth can be a sign of, or lead to, more serious health issues. Common Causes

Things such as diabetes, medications, chemotherapy, smoking, caffeine, dehydration, nerve damage and anemia are some of the common issues that can cause low saliva flow, but medications seem to be the most common cause.

Some types of medication that can cause this include:

Painkillers
Decongestants
Antidepressants
Allergy medications
Diuretics
Blood pressure medications
